Britain's opposition Conservative party are hoping to emulate the success of the Obama campaign when it comes to using the power of the Internet. Their new website allows uses to make donations directly to individual causes -- and connect with each other.

British opposition leader David Cameron declared himself ready to take power in a rousing address at his Conservatives' last annual conference before elections he is tipped to win. With the Tory and the ruling Labour party conferences now out of the way, the campaign race is on, with a serious battle ahead for British votes.
