Olympic canoe venue opens to public
The Lee Valley White Water Centre, the only brand new London 2012 venue that can be used ahead of the Games, opens to the public on Friday. The venue will host the canoe slalom competition during next year's Olympics.

British military brushes up ahead of royal wedding
Thousands of military personnel will be involved in the royal wedding on 29th April, from securing the route and escorting the royal family, to fly-pasts and musical fanfares. The Household Cavalry will form the mounted guard to the Queen and the married couple, and their preparations for the big day are already well underway.
