Half of all children in Niger under the age of five are stunted by
malnutrition. With the population of this poor country due to double in
the next 18 years, the race is on to improve nutritional education
before it is too late.

Niger's Christians rebuild after Charlie Hebdo rampage
The post-Charlie Hebdo riots that hit Niger left churches in flames and
the nation's minority Christians in fear for their lives. Today the
Church is looking to rebuild yet remains wary of further attacks.
Boko Haram suspects held in Niger's Zinder as hundreds flee fight
Niger's second city of Zinder continues to see hundreds of people
displaced by fighting. According to local authorities, among those
fleeing the Diffa region where the army is taking on Boko Haram are a
number of group's militants.
Niger troop vote met with hope and fear
The vote by Niger's parliament to allow troops to attack Boko Haram in Nigeria has largely been greeted with approval.
